Tour report
A Spring Day between Kaiser Views and Hintersteiner See
We started near the Kaiseraufstieg car park. From the very first few kilometres, there was that quiet sense of anticipation in the air that accompanies a good day out. The weather was warm and pleasant, the landscape clear, and with every section the Wilder Kaiser moved further into focus. Our route took us via Scheffau and onwards up to Hintersteiner See. The climb was manageable on the e-bike, but still distinctly demanding. The assistance did not take all the work away, and without a motor you really have to push hard on the pedals here. That made the ride to the lake feel all the more rewarding. Along the way, we were also following in the footsteps of the Bergdoktor β a detail that gave the loop a special, familiar atmosphere. At Hintersteiner See, the pace became more relaxed. The lake, the mountain backdrop and the cosy inn provided exactly the right contrast to the climb. We could arrive, stop for refreshments and enjoy the moment before setting off again. It was not a dramatic highlight, but one of those places where a tour quite naturally stands still for a while. After a total of 41.5 kilometres and 710 metres of elevation gain, the loop ended back at the Kaiseraufstieg car park. Iced coffee and Austrian pastries in Kufstein rounded off the day. What remained was that pleasantly tired feeling after a challenging but beautiful tour that we would gladly recommend.

Personal note
What stays with us most is the combination of the demanding ride up, the leisurely stop at the lake and the warm spring day. By the end, our legs were tired but our minds felt pleasantly clear. A beautiful loop that we can recommend.
