Tour report
A Summerβs Day on Two Wheels
On this day, Lake Starnberg was more than just the backdrop to our tour. The water stayed close to us for much of the loop, offering new impressions time and again as our perspective shifted. At times, the route followed the shoreline directly; elsewhere, the lake receded into the background before reappearing between towns and jetties. The e-bikes created a pleasant rhythm of riding, looking around and taking short breaks. The assistance did nothing to diminish the sense of being on a proper tour, but gave us enough space to take in our surroundings with care. Fresh lake air, exercise and the tranquil atmosphere by the water turned the kilometres into a relaxed day outdoors. The understated moments along the way were especially beautiful: an unobstructed view across the water, a jetty on the shore or a stretch where we could simply let the bikes roll. There was no need for a single spectacular highlight. Instead, the strength of this tour lay in its succession of small summer moments. π By the end, we were left with the feeling that we had been far enough removed from everyday life for a few hours. A loop around the lake that does not need to be loud to remain memorable β and an e-bike tour where the route around the water itself became the true destination.

Route
The route.
This circular e-bike tour leads around Lake Starnberg. Along the way, lakeside paths alternate with sections through small towns and stretches past jetties. The lake remains the connecting centrepiece of the route, repeatedly opening up unobstructed views across the water. No details are available regarding the exact starting point, distance, duration or elevation gain; the complete route can be accessed via the existing Komoot tour.
Personal note
What stayed with us most was the quiet lightness of the day. We were simply out there, without having to reduce the loop to individual stages or highlights. The steady riding, fresh lake air and many brief views across the water created exactly the kind of break that draws us outdoors.
