Tour report

From the City Forest into the Heart of Frankfurt

We set off from Dreieich and cycled through the city forest towards downtown Frankfurt. The transition from quiet paths to the vibrant city was one of the things that made this tour so appealing. The weather remained warm and changeable, with occasional light rain accompanying us along the way. Even so, the ride felt pleasant and gave us plenty of time to take in Frankfurt at our own pace. At the Eiserner Steg, we made one of the tour’s most memorable stops. It was a lovely place to pause for a moment and soak up the atmosphere of the city. From there, we continued to the Römer and the New Old Town. Here, we took our time exploring the streets, squares and varied impressions. The interplay between familiar-looking urban scenes and modern Frankfurt made this section particularly interesting for us. The Zeil, the Bahnhofsviertel and the banking district then revealed several different sides of Frankfurt. On the Zeil, we experienced the bustle of city life, while the Bahnhofsviertel conveyed a lively character all its own. In the banking district, Frankfurt’s modern side shaped our tour. Despite the many contrasts, our overall impression remained entirely positive: a truly beautiful city with wonderful, friendly people. A peaceful moment of enjoyment awaited us at a small street café near Deutsche Börse Frankfurt. Over a Greek freddo cappuccino, we reflected on everything we had experienced so far. ☕ This break fitted perfectly with the relaxed mood of the day. In the end, what stayed with us most was the joy of a varied yet easy city tour—our personal verdict: wonderful.
