Tour report
A Long Loop Between Kaufering and the Lech
In early September, we set out on a long loop in Kaufering. With no performance data recorded and no sporting ambitions, our main focus was simply spending time outdoors together. Lou accompanied us as we followed the trails along the Lech. The Lech barrage became a defining point on this tour. Here, water, technical structures and the natural landscape along the river come together. It is one of those places where you automatically slow down, pause for a while and let your gaze wander across the water π. Tours like this remind us that a rewarding outdoor experience does not depend on distance or elevation gain. That day, Kaufering revealed its relaxed side: a long loop, quiet moments and enough time to simply enjoy being out together with Lou.
Moment
βA peaceful loop along the Lech, Lou by our side and, for a few hours, nothing but the trail ahead.β
Route
The route.
The long loop follows trails along the Lech in Kaufering and passes the Lech barrage. The exact route and details of the distance, duration and elevation gain were not documented.
Personal note
What we remember most is how uncomplicated the day was. We did not have to travel far or plan anything special. We simply set off, took Lou with us and spent time together by the Lech β sometimes that is exactly the right kind of tour.
