Innsbruck and Hall in Tirol

Between Innsbruck and Hall in Tirol, the Inn Valley reveals one of its most enjoyable sides: relaxed riding along the river, warm temperatures, a noticeable breeze and two impressive old towns. Short breaks for buttered pretzels, coffee and cake made the ride even more special. 🚴‍♂️

Tour report

Between the River Inn, Old Towns and Leisurely Breaks

While still in Innsbruck, we made a brief stop at a bakery. The delicious buttered pretzels were just the right breakfast before continuing by E-bike towards Hall in Tirol. Innsbruck’s impressive old town also stayed with us as a memorable new experience. The atmosphere along the River Inn was very pleasant. The weather was warm and windy as the route led through the Tyrolean Inn Valley. With the mountains in the background and the relaxed pace, this section became a particularly easy-going part of the tour. We were especially taken with the old town in Hall in Tirol. Over coffee and delicious cake in a lovely café, we had time to quietly take in the atmosphere of the town. Afterwards, we rode back to Innsbruck and the starting point of our circular tour.

Moment

Two impressive old towns, the River Inn and leisurely breaks made this an especially enjoyable ride.

Route

The route.

This circular tour leads from Innsbruck to Hall in Tirol and back again. After a quick breakfast stop at a bakery in Innsbruck, the route follows the River Inn through the Tyrolean Inn Valley. In Hall in Tirol, the old town and a break at a café mark the turning point before the return to Innsbruck. Afterwards, we continued to the next stage in Lazise, Italy.

Personal note

What we remember most are the little breaks along the way: buttered pretzels in Innsbruck in the morning, followed later by coffee and cake in Hall. Together with the two old towns and the pleasantly peaceful atmosphere, they made this a thoroughly rewarding tour.
