Tour report
An Evening of Old Town Charm and Belgrade Flair
Our stopover in Belgrade was brief, but just long enough for a first stroll through the city centre. In the warm weather, we immersed ourselves in the city’s evening atmosphere and enjoyed a lovely meal. What particularly stayed with us was the public transport. During our stay, we were able to use the buses free of charge. They were air-conditioned and ran at short intervals—an easy and, for us, unexpected way to explore Belgrade. The historic old town had plenty of character while also giving us a sense of just how much more there is to discover here. After our overnight stay at Hotel Garni Mint, one thing was clear: on our next visit, we should allow considerably more time for Belgrade.
Moment
„Even this brief evening showed us how much Belgrade has to offer on a longer visit.“
Route
The route.
Our short visit took us by public bus into central Belgrade and through the historic old town. We stayed overnight at Hotel Garni Mint.
Personal note
We had initially planned Belgrade as little more than a stopover. That made it all the more enjoyable to get a first impression of the city that evening. The character of the old town and the ease of getting around by bus particularly stayed with us.
