Sunshine, House Beats and an Unexpected Companion
From Asprovalta, we continued via Stavros to Olympiada, a village on Chalkidiki’s third finger. We stopped above the village and let our gaze wander across Strimonic Bay, the Bay of Strimonas, to the Pangaion Mountains, which rise to more than 2,000 metres. We also captured this sweeping view in a separate video. We then spent the day at Suntan Beach. The sun shone in a cloudless sky, the water was perfect for swimming, and laid-back house beats created a carefree, chilled atmosphere on the beach. A stray female dog joined us and stayed for a while. We gave her food and water before continuing to enjoy our day at the beach. We remember Olympiada as a relaxed place with a wonderful beach.

Route
The route.
The route led from Asprovalta via Stavros to Olympiada. Above Olympiada, sweeping views opened up across Strimonic Bay to the Pangaion Mountains. Our destination for the day was Suntan Beach near Olympiada.
Personal note
What we remember most is the stray female dog who simply came over and joined us. Chilling together in the shade and giving her food and water was a quiet and beautiful moment during this day at the beach. We would happily return here anytime.
