Lake Lucerne - Behind the Scenes

There is more to a tour than the kilometres spent on the bike. Often, the real adventure begins with the journey there, a simple night on the road and the first coffee early in the morning. For this e-bike tour, our route took us from Landsberg am Lech to Lake Zug, before continuing to Lucerne the next morning.

Tour report

A Night on the Road

The evening before, we drove from Landsberg am Lech to Lake Zug. At around 10:00 p.m., we arrived in Zug and set up our sleeping space in the small “Brüggli” parking area. Folding down the back seat and laying out our sleeping mats and sleeping bags was all we needed for the night. The next morning began at around 7:00 a.m. with a walk by Lake Zug. Afterwards, we brewed coffee on the camping stove right beside the car. A simple moment, peaceful and wonderful – and exactly the right way to ease into the day. ☕ Then we continued to Lucerne. This was where our e-bike tour around Lake Lucerne began. The early journey, the night in the car and the sense of setting off that morning were just as much a part of the tour as being out on the bikes.

Moment

The adventure began long before the first kilometre on the bike.

Route

The route.

The journey took us from Landsberg am Lech to Lake Zug in Switzerland. We spent the night in the car in the small “Brüggli” parking area: https://maps.app.goo.gl/fkpExvnx4jdf1QtH9. At around 7:00 a.m. the next morning, we continued to Lucerne, where our e-bike tour around Lake Lucerne began.

Personal note

The night in the car, the walk by Lake Zug and the coffee brewed on the camping stove are an integral part of this memory for us. It was these simple moments in particular that made the anticipation of the tour so special. We would do it again anytime.
